I've never been in a steam room but I am getting sick of just lifting weights at the gym
I wanted to add something else whether it be swimming or sitting in the steam room but I was curious what does it actually do for you?

How long are you supposed to sit in there??

Thanks

Relaxes the muscles, if you stay in long enough it is supposed to release some of the toxins out of your body.
10-15 minutes works for me.

For me, it is the gift after a long workout.Plus, I am able to shed a few pounds and stay ripped.

Most steam rooms blow. They are warm at best. I can't see how they would have any fitness benefit. They will make you sweat a little I suppose.

Swimming on the other hand offers lots of fitness benefits. For me, I can run 5 miles but can barely swim 10 minutes. Difficult for sure.

For some real sweating, maybe try the sauna for 15 mintues. It can make your skin feel better afterward.

suppose it is more healthy to sweat it out in the steam rooms rather than needing 2 of 2 free throws to cash a ticket.

i like steam rooms.

good place to sprawl out and relax in the nude in warm comfotable heat while reading the sports section.

nice place to flirt with guys also.
